About Us

Liz, APRNJobs.org founder and CRNA, representing a job board built by APRNs for advanced practice nursing professionals.

APRNJobs.org was born out of a vision shared by Elizabeth Bird, a seasoned CRNA, and her husband, Chad Bird. Frustrated by the inefficiencies and limitations of existing job boards during Elizabeth’s years of searching for locums and full-time positions, they set out to build a better platform. One designed by an APRN, for APRN’s.

Our mission is simple: to provide a straightforward, fast, and sleek job board that meets the real needs of both the job seeking APRN and employers. At APRNJobs.org, we are focused on making job searches more informed for APRNs by requiring employers to provide a little more transparent and detailed information in the job posting. For this, employers benefit from the platform’s industry leading lower cost of barrier to post job listings that ensures they can clearly communicate what sets their opportunities apart.

The Birds understand firsthand the challenges of navigating the current landscape of job boards for their family. They built APRNJobs.org with those challenges in mind, incorporating features that address the gaps and frustrations they personally experienced. The result is a more efficient, user-friendly platform that delivers better matches between employers and job seekers.

With her many years as an RN, Elizabeth knows the challenges of the nursing journey to become an APRN. This is why, although the site’s primary target will be APRN’s; RN and Nurse Manager job postings will also be accessible via APRNJobs.org. Because we feel that supporting nurses at various stages of their career journey is vital to the future of advanced practice nursing.

But we’re not stopping there. At APRNJobs.org, we believe in giving back to the community that drives the success of the site as the site becomes profitable. A significant portion of our profits goes directly toward initiatives that build a stronger future for advanced practicing nurses. Like supporting political action committees that advocate for advanced practicing nurses, funding scholarships & grants for RN’s to further their education, and hosting pro bono live CEU events. Our commitment extends far beyond just a job board. We’re here to champion causes that help nurses advance in their careers and to create a lasting impact across the healthcare landscape.

With all of this in mind, we hope that the ecosystem of having employers post more detailed listings in exchange for lower costs benefits both sides. In return for a lower cost posting to the employer, the job seeker will have a more informed posting. And we believe that this will result in even more loyalty from the nursing community searching for jobs. Also, with the lower barrier of cost smaller entities without large recruiting budgets now have access to the talent they need without paying exorbitant fees to access them. For those smaller employers our platform represents an affordable way to find nurses without having to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars monthly. This also means that nurses will have access to even more options when job searching. Plus, with our reinvestment of profits into causes that support the advancement of nursing, when employers do post on the site they are contributing to a healthier, sustainable nursing workforce in the future.

In short, posting on APRNJobs.org is a win-win!

At its heart, APRNJobs.org is about making a difference, not just in how nurses find jobs, but in the future of the nursing profession itself. We’re proud to be part of something that’s dedicated to pushing nursing forward and ensuring a bright, sustainable future for healthcare.
